"Julius Agricola a Roman Governor in Britain under the Emperor Domitian, introducing the Roman Arts & Sciences into England, the Inhabitants of which are astonished & soon become fond of the Arts & manners of their cruel Invaders" engraved by Goldar after a picture by Hamilton, published in Barnard's History of England, 1783. Copper engraved print, partial plate mark and good margins. Slight staining. Size 21 x 31 cms including titles, plus margins. Ref H814
