Notes on the condition of my antique prints & maps
All the maps and prints I sell are genuine
antiques so their age must be kept in mind when considering condition.
Unless noted, all items are in good
condition for their age. Often old maps (and large prints) have centre
folds, they can also often have some edge discolouration or general
discolouration through age. My catalogue entries will not note
all minor faults, however any faults that I consider do materially
affect the map or print will be noted, such as repaired tears, foxing
or irregular staining, soiling etc.
The images can be used as a rough guide
to the general appearance - see notes
to the images, also see Terms Used which explains some of the common faults mentioned in my catalogue.
